I shall be ressurected with HIM.

April 12th, 2007 by arthuroliver-sara

I shall be ressurected with HIM.

I’ve been "dead" for quite sometime now.
In
the silence of isolation and a long time of pseudo-hybernation, I just
realized that time flies so fast, faster than a snap of a finger and
quicker than a blink of an eye. I just realized that my yougest sibling
is about to step college, our second is about to enter his third year
in college. Have you ever felt that certain guilt feeling/ the pressure
of having graduated/the pressure of finding a profitable job to help
the family? hahaha! ( do I hear second the motions?) - - - I am very
thankful that there was never a time that I was directly pressured by
my parents, for they have been very supportive to all three of us. -
Nonetheless, still - I am now being provoked by myself to move. To get
up! hmmm… Heavy load on my shoulders. :c
"I’ve been dead for sometime now."
As
i talk and do some updates with my college friends, I get the same
feeling. The feeling of getting old - and the pressure brought about be
the fast-paced stage we are all into. sigh* It may be a little weird
for us to talk and act this way - (we should be enjoying our lives
now!) However, the fact remains that in the inexorible process of
globalization engulfing our country and the world today, we are all
challenge to move
FORWARD and to make the best of our lives. Now I am starting to realize that life itself is no pure fun - it’s a CHOICE to strive and be happy or to simply be left empty handed. Indeed, LIFE is what we make it - we make our own destiny.
"I’ve been dead for sometime now."
Wishing
to have the best of everything, I am aware that I have to sweat hard
and more. Life is tough - and it is matter of challenging myself -
pushing my extents to the limit and doing whatever it takes to finally
succeed. Dang-it! It’s a long bricky road ahead! - - - Nevertheless, I
know that I am more than armoured, educated and experienced to face the
world.

"Death shall only be temporary, afterwhich - there is always an awakening and a fresh start to begin with."

Jesus resurrected after three days, and I shall have mine.
RESSURECT

The Platters Band Hosting wid Mr. Bobby Soul*

March 9th, 2007 by arthuroliver-sara

Start: Mar 24, ‘07 6:00p

Grab and treat your parents at this one in a lifetime chance for one nostalgic concert! Bring back the old times! MARCH 24! Taal.Batangas. See you all there! Free Admission!

I am deeply honored to meet Mr.Bobby Soul - - - the original Platters Band Member during the 1950’s in the States. He was the original composer and singer of "Only You" among lots of hits songs our parents would probably know… (OST: The Ghost) which was recently revived by Sam Milby…yeah! He now settles in Batangas but does regular shows and trips abroad with his’ band and daughter Tamica ( who is a very very good singer as well!).

AANNDD: The crown brooch worked again! hahah! Mr.Bobby Soul asked me to host his’ comeback concert on march 24! yeah!!! Di ko kinaya ang onstage plugging and announcement na ininvite nya ko maghost ng concert nya..hehhe! Foreign Group na ‘to! hahha!*

FYI: Bobby Soul is remembered as the youngest of the original "Platters," the world-famous all-African-American band from the 1950s, the so-called "Golden Years of Pop Music." Soul was the vocalist and is regarded as the heart and soul of the group. Soul sang alongside such big names of the pop music world as Jackie Pickets, Chuck Berry, Frankie Lyman, the Teenagers, the Drifters, Little Anthony, the Imperials, B.B.King, Mary Wells and Teddy Pendergrass.

His rich and enchanting voice has proven to be as enduring and timeless as his past musical successes with group members.

Every year, he sings about 40 Platters oldies at theatres, clubs, ballrooms and charity shows around the world. His classic interpretations of the good old songs like "The Great Pretender," "Twilight Time," "Only You," "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," "My Prayer," "The Magic Touch" and "Unchained Melody" often bring the audience to its feet.

Soul also impresses the audiences with his interactive performance mode as he likes to walk down the stage, shaking hands and taking pictures, signing autographs and cracking jokes with fans.

It’s roughly about 13 hrs left as I am writing this entry before we finally bid goodbye to the year that was..2006! wohoooo! Indeed, time flies so0o fast that in a snap of a finger and a quarter blink of an eye, another historic year would culminate to another glorious end.. Thanks to the good Lord.

2006! - - - Blast! No exact words can equate the things that transpired and shaped this year for me.. us! Aloooot of things happened! Good and bad.. yin and yang - - - came in,came out! But no matter how hard our lives have been after all the fun and triumphs of our lives, we all managed to be in the forefront of living, breathing, continuous learning thru valued experiences and a positivity that our lives and year would turn out to be as great as what we all have to this date, the last day of 2006.

As the remaining hours, minutes and seconds of 2006 continuously ticks and drops… I would love to extend and express my sincerest thanks and appreciation to all the people who became a part of my 2006. My biological family, my Thomasian family, Old and new friends  - - - THANK YOU! naming each one of you would for surely take a year! Anyhow, you all know who you are… and as wou read this entry - - - rest assured that i am pertaining to you - - - my friend, my life,my cause of sanity.

Adios to the glorious year of 2006! And may the year 2007 be as fruitful, healthy and worth living to the coming years of our existence.

Happy New Year! 2007! .

2006 Paskuhan na ‘to!

December 20th, 2006 by arthuroliver-sara
Paskuhan (Theme Song)
Composed by:  Luis Azcona, 3rd year Commerce student
                   Bassist, PUBLICO Band
Halina’t malunod sa yakap
Sundin ang ginaw na nagtatawag
Kung lusaw na sa init ang ulo
May magandang balita ako
Paskuhan na to!
Natatawa’t pinaiiyak ka ng buong taon (hoy!)
Dito lahat nagtatapos
Masaganang Paskong Pinoy
Tigilan muna ang paghabol sa oras
At ibang klase magsaya
Pagkat iba, Tomasino ka!
Meron ka namang libo-libong dahilan
Dahil kahit saan, tayo’y pananalo na naman
Ipagdiwang ang tibay sa sariling pasko
Paskuhan na to!
Hatid mo sa lupa ang ilaw
Hindi na titigil sa pagsinag
Ngayong gabi, tanging ikaw lang ang tinitingala
Naging isa ang lahat dahil walang kasing saya
Tigilan muna ang paghabol sa oras
At ibang klase magsaya
Pagkat iba, Tomasino ka!
Meron ka namang libo-libong dahilan
Dahil kahit saan, tayo’y pananalo na naman
Ipagdiwang ang tibay sa sariling pasko
Paskuhan na to!
May magandang balita ako
Paskuhan na to!

Its bin really quite a long while since I last posted a blog here. So000 many things had happened. That would take me days to compress in the short space alotted here for wrangling thoughts…

In the mean absence of some of the closest ppol to my heart right now, I can’t help but extend due gratitude to those people who came across my life recently, gave reason for more smiling each day and opened themselves unselfishly for good friendships’ sake… :> Now I come to appreciate those ppol whom I’ve given less of my attention before…They are the ppol who stood by me, in support of all what I’ve did..but I unknowingly given them much less of what they deserve. Thank you.

Absence makes the heart go fonder… now I would like to believe so.

Thank you to all the ppol ( u knw who you are!:>) keeping me posted each day, sharing stories with me each day ’til we see our clocks hit 2:00am! eheheheh… How I wish I had more time with you back then. You are the wackiest, if not the most outrageous yet cool ppol I’ve ever seen. Hahahahaha…dami ko natututunan a! really…You keep me smiling despite a sudden recent loss.really.:<

H Med Tech! Simply the closest section to my heart, really. :> I appreciate all the kindness, concern and time. The unselfish openess and stories. I will forever be at a distance overlooking my kids who all continue to grow up to be the best ppol in this world.I’m always at a support. I hope to get to know all of you…so0n! hahahahha..invited kau lhat sa birthday ko! hehehehe…

Thank you again and keep me posted h! :> Peace!kua oli. This one is really for u.
